Bad Words

I’m a lover of words, with a few exceptions. I don’t generally enjoy artwork with words, and by all means I dislike words on walls in the home. This is my personal opinion, and some of you reading this may have words in your kitchen or bedroom, and this doesn’t mean I don’t love you with all my heart. It simply means that I am horrendously opinionated about home decor, and I find words to be distracting from other design elements in one’s home to the point that when I see them I can’t think of any other words and then I feel as if I am being manipulated into feeling I should “eat, drink and be merry” every time I am in someone’s kitchen. Fuck. What If I just wanted to walk through to get to the bathroom?

In any event, since there are tons of resources for wall word decals, and I am a “designer”, I have taken the liberty of coming up with some new ideas that you may not have thought of, and that you should feel free to adopt for your home if you so desire.

p.s. Not our bedroom. Don’t think we’re fancy modern cool.

Yeah words on walls… it's like an onion that makes the whole meal too oniony. I'm not against onions per se, nor against words on walls, but I think there are some things in life that are more pushy than others. LOVE the bedroom word. Hilarious.

What about those naughty words your husband writes with magnets on your fridge?

I am usually not a fan of wordsy decor either, although I recently bought a door mat that says GO AWAY in big red letters with the hopes of deterring my neighbor's kids from fighting right in front of our doorstep. And you know what? They haven't 'accidentally' rung our doorbell since.

I like that. I wonder if you can buy a NO SOLICITORS doormat.
