I thought it would be fun for you if I treated you to a visual recollection of my past week or whatever I can lump into the idea of last week, which really means the whole winter, because it’s really been one never-ending blur of mental survival.
It’s appropriate to start this party off with a double-selfie.
Here is a gratuitous shot of my VitaMix full of healthiness. I fill that beast up, serve the smoothies, freeze the rest in fantastic ice pop molds, and my kids eat them like desserts over the next few days and I flash myself self-congratulatory grins in every reflective surface I can find.
Speaking of reflective surfaces, here’s another Beckett/me double-selfie. This time in the bathroom faucet because we are conceptual, mysterious, and abstract. (Peee esss: I’m sorry that this faucet is so pedestrian. I’ll try to impress you next time.)
Fen dissected owl pellets at school, and brought home what she found in there. This is one of what she found in there, and this is reason enough to love having an Olloclip Macro lens for an iPhone. What do you think it is? I’m so excited at being able to own some skeletons.
My children lived in a box for much of the week, thoroughly enjoying the top door for peeking and eating purposes. And TV watching. (Yes, we use our back deck as a refrigerator for La Croix.)
We got to eat dinner with our friend Trevor. I haven’t seen him in many moons, and even better was that we got to watch his wife, Laura perform in Cabaret. No clue that she could sing, dance, or act, and she freaking killed it. She was Sally Bowles, and she inspired all sorts of admiration in me, that I might need to write about later…
Look at Trevor’s cool glasses. Actually, don’t Trevor and Christian lok a little like weird brothers? Or clones? Huh.
Happy weekend, all!
