Chocolate and peanut butter. I don’t care if everybody and their pool boy has posted this recipe already, I want to join the ranks of bloggers who share their own version of no-bake chocolate peanut butter bars that is probably still the exact same recipe 25 other bloggers have shared.
The important thing here is that you probably have everything in your house except the graham crackers, so get thee to the store and hurry back.
Back? Okay, good. Let’s begin.
1 stick butter (1/2 cup) melted
1 cup peanut butter natural creamy like my thighs
12 sheets of graham crackers – massacred into crumbs. I put them in a gallon freezer bag and pound on them with the bottom of a jar while laughing maniacally
A little less than a cup of powdered sugar – this stuff is so damn sweet.
1 12 oz bag chocolate chips (2 cups)
1/4 cup peanut butter
Step 1: Sit and meditate for 10 minutes to get into a good head space. Promise yourself you’ll only eat one square of these when they’re finished.
Step 2: Melt the butter
Step 3: Mix the butter together in a medium mixing bowl with the graham crackers and powdered sugar.
Step 4: Mix in the peanut butter until your arm feels sad and weak, and then use your hands to finish mixing.
Step 5: Press the mixture into an 8 or 9″ square pan that is lined with aluminum foil.
Step 6: Melt the chocolate chips with 1/4 cup peanut butter in a microwave, stirring every 30 seconds or so. It is a heinous offense to burn chocolate chips.
Step 7: Spread evenly all over the top of the graham cracker mixture and chill in the fridge. (The bars, not you.)
Step 8: Cut yourself that small square and enjoy with a tall, bubbly glass of melk. (My dad grew up in Pennsylvania and pronounces it melk.)
