I have, as of late, been making my own simple syrup for my iced green tea. It’s super duper freakishly easy to do and you can store it in a mason jar in the fridge. Then dump as much as you want into any beverage you like, or swig it straight from the jar!
Why make it? Because liqui-sugar mixes very easily with liqui-beverage and you won’t have crunchy sugar crystals hanging out on the bottom of the glass, not mixing in properly.
Measure out 1 part sugar
and 1 part water
and then gently stir them together in a pot.
Bring your concoction to a boil. Lower the heat to medium and let it gently boil for about 3-4 minutes. The longer it boils, the goopier it becomes.
Remove from heat and amuse yourself while it cools completely.
Then dump it into a cute little jar and store it in the refrigerator. If you are the crafty sort, you can print out or hand-letter fancy labels for it, thus ensuring nobody will steal your potion.
