I just sneezed really loudly and for some reason it made me want to post. Last week we stayed at my Dad’s friends’ lake house in the Finger Lakes. That is near where I grew up and I love the area- Western NY is beautiful.
I thought at first that Fen was going to explode her head off she was so excited to be there, but I soon realized she could sustain that level of screamy excitement without any detriment, so I just sat back and enjoyed her freak show.
When Beckett finally wrapped his nearly-3 year old brain around being away from home, he charmed everyone in the way that only cute post-toddlers can do.
I saw some hummingbirds.
I have rug burns on my elbows that look like they’re the result of raucous sex, but they’re really from holding the hell onto a giant tube next to my husband. He giggled like a little girl while we were whipped around behind a motor boat, and though it was fun, I also had visions of meeting my early demise by being snapped in half from the force of flying over wakes. This is a drawing of what I looked like for a brief moment:
Another cool thing is that I have a raging case of ringworm all over my torso and creeping onto my legs and butt. Ringworm, which isn’t a worm at all, but a fungus similar to athlete’s foot, found its way onto my person at the public pool 3 weeks ago. With me being the eternal optimist, I assumed it was some sort of heat rash that would fade with time. When it started spreading and getting all prickly, I had it diagnosed and got some expensive cream to apply on all million spots of it for the next few weeks.
I have yet to Google this affliction, but I am burning to know how it was nicknamed Ringworm in the first place. Because I visualized twenties of worms having invaded my body and given birth and I felt all yucky until I learned it was simply a moisture-loving fungus.
Anyway, how are you? What’s new? Does anyone want to tell me a random tidbit in the comments? I hope so! Plus, thanks for entering the awesome giveaway I had. I owe you all a big salad.
