It’s been a relief to take a little blogging break. Blogging for me became a chore – a dreaded, overwhelming, never-ending ball of to-do’s and why-aren’t-you’s.
I was trying to evolve with the evolution of blogging, but that’s not why I started in the first place.
For me, blogging really is a place of self-expression and imperfection. For so many it has become a tightly-run business, full of constantly tweaking messaging, Google rankings, funnels, and offers.
And while I am secretly fascinated by all that stuff, it’s just not me. That makes my head hurt and my heart go dull. I’m here to be Jeanette – the creative, emotional, funny, hyper-sensitive person that simply shares with you.
So with this post, let’s move forward. Forward meaning backward. Back to 12 years ago, when I first wrote a post on Craftwhack that had zero to do with what I turned it into. (Which is part of why I sold Craftwhack. Which is why I feel a zillion times lighter.)
That post was ridiculous and probably 3 paragraphs long- describing my foot and how it felt itchy that day.
Ha! I love old-school blogging.
Besides. I have so much to tell you. So so much. A lot of it is very painful, and I haven’t been ready to share until now. But a lot of it will be hilarious stories of farts or 2-headed muskrats.
I’ll get my email list going again at some point, so keep checking back if you want to jump on it. Otherwise, I’m 49, so I’m still on Facebook. Or you can email me, because I’m 49 and I still check my email.
P.S. I don’t really have any stories of 2-headed muskrats, but damn I wish I did.
